Book Review :)

Book: God's Answers 4 UR Life
Author: Steve Russo
PublisherBarbour Publshing,
Inc.

SynopsisSearching for real answers about life—helpful answers that you can really trust? God’s Answers 4 UR Life responds to 125 everyday life issues from popular Bible versions. With relevant topics that include body mod, consequences, depression, eating disorders, music, purpose, and more, you’ll find just the answers you’re seeking as well as relevant life application sections written by popular youth speaker and ministry leader Steve Russo.

My thoughts: I've read a fair share of spirituality books and I have to say this is one one the best. Being a teen, I felt like I could actually relate to the massages in this book. It offers a number of real life experiences that I could understand along with quotes from the bible. There are numerous topics mentioned in this book from abuse to success. I really enjoyed reading this and when I'm facing a situation I feel like I can come back and reference this book for help. I suggest this book to anyone who wants to understand the bible more.

Book: The Pledge
 Author: Kimberley Derting
Pgs: 320
Release Date: Nov.15, 2011

Synopsis:
In the violent country of Ludania, the classes are strictly divided by the language they speak. The smallest transgression, like looking a member of a higher class in the eye while they are speaking their native tongue, results in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina has always been able to understand the languages of all classes, and she’s spent her life trying to hide her secret. The only place she can really be free is the drug-fueled underground clubs where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. It's there that she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy named Max who speaks a language she's never heard before . . . and her secret is almost exposed.

Charlie is intensely attracted to Max, even though she can’t be sure where his real loyalties lie. As the emergency drills give way to real crisis and the violence escalates, it becomes clear that Charlie is the key to something much bigger: her country’s only chance for freedom from the terrible power of a deadly regime.

Follow Friday/Blog Hop!

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic time today. Yeah lets give it up for Fridays! Also I can't believe I did this but I went and saw the Justin Bieber movie today and I actually enjoyed it. Hardy har folks (whatever that means) ;P Anyways lets answer some Qs!
 This weeks question:
"Do you only read one book at a time or do you have several going at once?"
Answer:
Well I am usually reading several books at once. Sometimes this takes me forever just to finish one book but I can't help it because there are just too many interesting books out there and by the time I take a break from one book I find a new one. :( It also doesn't help now that I have a kindle. I need to manage my reading time. ;)

Follow Friday:

Question: "How did you come up with your blog name?"
Answer:
Gosh I really don't like my blog name all that much. I wish I could go back in time or something and ward myself away from ever thinking about this name. Haha but anyways I couldn't think of a name because all the good ones were taken and I wanted my name at first to be "Read Books" but that name was taken, so I just added Have fun to the end and voila, you get "Read Books Have Fun."

Well that's all for today I suppose. Leave me a link to your post and I'll follow you in the spirit of follow Friday :) but feel free to follow me too.

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins 5 out of 5 stars! :)

So I finished reading the second installment of Hex Hall last week and it's brought me hope! Gosh I love this book so much. If I could give it million stars I would. Rachel Hawkins totally outdid herself in this one. Some parts were funny some parts were sad but I felt as though I could connect with the characters throughout the book. I have to admit though there were some parts that seemed a bit rushed and other parts that seemed a bit unrealistic but this is a fiction book so I'll let it pass since I loved the book so much. If you enjoyed Hex Hall I think you'll love this one a bajillion times more! :)

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.

That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.

Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.

But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

K thanks all for now. I hope you guys have a splendid night or day depending on where you are. ;)

Save Earth Sunday :)

Save earth Sunday is an event I made to help the planet. Every week on Sunday I will post eco tips we can all use daily to help impact the earth. Feel free to post your own eco tip(s) as well and don't forget to leave me a link to your post so I can do it too.

This weeks tip: Instead of Buying Bottled Water, Get a Refill. Ever see an empty water bottle tossed by the side of the road? Less than 20% of those single-use containers make it to the recycling bin. They also waste fuel for shipping — water is heavy! Get a cool metal bottle instead and fill it up when you're thirsty, and cut down on the expense and waste.

That's all for now. Have a great day everyone. :)

Follow Friday

Greetings everyone! Happy Saturday, I love weekends and I hope you do too :)

Q. Just like Ashley said (love it) "Ashley the girl..." who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?
I'm Veronica the girl. Right now I am an 18 year old senior in high school and I can't believe I am going to college next year! I am so excited. I am most likely going to major in nursing or somewhere in the healthcare industry. I don't have any pets and I'm not much an animal person so I guess that's a good combination. ( just kidding I really want a cat some day.) I am currently working as an LNA in the good state of New Hampshire. When I'm not blogging I am most likely playing tennis or reading.
Goodbye everyone that's all I have for today.

Save Earth Sunday and a Book review! :)

Howdy everyone, it's Sunday and you know what that means, school tomorrow. :(
But lets enjoy our last few hours of freedom. :D

Save earth Sunday is an event I made to help the planet. Every week on Sunday I will post eco tips we can all use daily to help impact the earth. Feel free to post your own eco tip(s) as well and don't forget to leave me a link to your post so I can do it too.

This weeks tip:
It definitely pays to give a thought to your here and thermostat, since most households shell out 50 to 70% of their energy budgets on heating and cooling. For every degree you lower the thermostat, you'll save between 1 and 3% of your heating bill. Do the same thing in reverse with air conditioning.

Alrighty now moving onto the book!
A few days ago I finished reading a book called Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors.
  • Reading level: Young Adult
  • Hardcover: 336 pages
  • Publisher: Walker Books for Young Readers (January 4, 2011)
  •
When you're the daughter of the bestselling Queen of Romance, life should be pretty good. But 16-year-old Alice Amorous has been living a lie ever since her mother was secretly hospitalized for mental illness. After putting on a brave front for months, time is running out. The next book is overdue, and the Queen can't write it. Alice needs a story for her mother-and she needs one fast.

As Alice begins to hear Errol's voice in her head and see things she can't explain, she must face the truth-that she's either inherited her mother's madness, or Errol is for real.

My thoughts:
I thought this book was pretty good!I picked up this book because I love the story of Psyche and Cupid and all that mythology humbobaloo. There were parts that didn't seem very realistic but were funny. The ending seemed somewhat rushed. But overall I thought this was an enjoyable read.

Follow Friday/Blog Hop!

Hi everyone, it's finally Friday again! I hope you guys are all as excited as I am. This weeks blogger hop question is: "who is your all-time favorite book villain?"
- hmm this is a toughy because I didn't really like any villains, but if I have to choose I'd say the Strigoi or however you spell it from the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead.

Greets to everyone if you're from Follow Friday. :)
This weeks question is:
What embarrassing thing have you done on cold medicine?
Gosh I can't really recall anything. But I don't think it could have been that embarrassing if I was sick. :(

Leave me the links to your blogs, I'd love to read your answer as well! :)

have a great day everyone.
